North Austin, running along the busy I-35 corridor is one of the fastest growing areas in central Texas and includes parts of Austin, Round Rock and Georgetown in Travis and Williamson counties.
A number of choices are available to home buyers, including smaller re-sale homes in closer-in neighborhoods in lower to medium price ranges, and large master-planned communities at various stages of development, such as Avery Ranch, Teravista and the new Paloma Lake.
The North Austin neighborhoods are served in part by Austin ISD, Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD and Georgetown ISD schools. Southwestern University, established originally in 1840, is located in historic downtown Georgetown and offers a four-year undergraduate liberal arts curriculum.
There are many major employers, such as Dell Computers Inc. and smaller companies dotted along this corridor with a variety of job opportunities. There are several park-and-ride facilities to make the commute to downtown Austin more convenient on the busy interstate highway 35.
An abundance of activities are available to residents of this area, including pools, parks, golf courses and Lake Georgetown. There are also several recreation centers, a skate park in Round Rock and McMaster Athletic Complex in Georgetown.
Living here also gives you access to the Dell Diamond (baseball), the new Scott & White University Medical Campus and Round Rock Premium Outlets.
